Last full day at camp and lots of pics!

Today during free time we went to Luigi's Pizza and filled up on giant slices of Pizza. Best pizza I've ever had, and you could tell the kids were in pizza heaven lol. We had a really fun time on the boardwalk and the little theme park too. Alot of the kids road the coaster, some got hennas, and we got giant icecream cones :) Such a great day!

We finished up with our last chapel and Victory Circle. Ask your kids about it! :)

Mid day blog :)

Today it finally hit us I think. We woke up exhausted! The late nights and early mornings are catching up to us! I had my first 5 hour energy today, it barely worked haha. And we're really starting to miss back home I think. Well I can at speak for myself, I am. Buttttttt I'm super glad that I'm here to spend time with these kids too! :)

So this morning was a worship morning at Chapel. It was super cool, especially since last night went so good :) Our kids really got into the worship I think :)

Today's spirit day went awesome!!!

Day 3: Dye Wars!

Today we had an awesome speaker in the morning. He was a missionary in Mexico at a deaf school. And he also was deaf but his talk was amazing! I know, it personally spoke to me alot and I loved it. He also did a song in sign at the end to Thank You For Giving to the Lord. It was beautiful :)

Rec today was the Dye Wars! We did this last year too, but we were not expecting it to be so intense. Last year, we got pretty wet but not too colored because the dyue was so deluted. This year we all were completely soaked with blue and red! The colors were soooo dark all over us from our hair to our socks! But it was tons of fun!

Then half of us went to the beach and few boys learned to surf and the other half of us stayed back and went to get frozen yogurt. Every one had a really great time during free time. And sunburns aren't as bad today. Dinner was delicious as usual too. Just so everyone knows and everyone's jealous the food here is amazing! It's a buffet every single day for every meal and there so much good food!

Tonight's chapel was really powerful too. It was decsion night for the kids, where they're given an oppurtunity to ask Jesus into their hearts. One of our boys did! I'm sure Rusty is going to blog more about this because he had more of an oppurtunity to talk with him. But pray for Cross and his new relationship with the Lord :) Then almost every single one of the others did a rededication tonight. The example was instead of putting God in the trunk, the backseat or even the passenger seat we need to let Him be the driver of our lives. Or for our kids Jesus can steer the bike and they can ride on the pegs ;) Such a great way to think about it!

Anyways, today was really an awesome day! Thanks for all the prayers and support I know we're getting from back home!

Today was really great. I'm really proud of our kids :) They're all having an awesome time. Rec was fun for everyone today. We are on the El Ninos team and our big team is the Viva Banditos, the golden team! :) Although we didn't take 1st in anything we still placed 7th overall for tonight! We had the greatest time at the beach today, aside from the flip flop heist! Of course we all have bright red cheeks though, as you'll notice in some of the pictures.


The message was really good tonight and so was the worship. I know it spoke to alot of the kids. It was about pride and how that's where alot of sin starts and how humility is how to get closer to God. I know it's a great challenge for all of us, leaders included.

Hume SD 2011 Day 1

So after making here safely everything's has been going well. It's so beautiful here at Point Loma as always. We were greeted by Robert Ramirez and it was really wonderful to see him. He seems to be having a great time here doing all the video crew stuff. We got all checked into our rooms, thankfully the girls are always really close to the Dinning Hall and the Chapel :)
The theme was amazinggg! Seriously, it's the best theme they've ever had here. We heard that it was pretty awesome but seeing the opener tonight really sealed the deal. High schooler's are gonna love it next week!
We're all cozy in our rooms right now and we're getting ready for bed.
I'm superrrrrr excited for spirit day because we are stocked up on a ton of cool accessories and decorations! We haven't found out what team we're on yet but tomorrow morning we do. We at least know all our girls will be together and all our guys will.

Rachel, Sydney's having fun so far. And guess what?! Ginger french braids! We're all so glad lol I don't know how we could have made it lol

Tracey, I had chicken parmesan tonight. And I thought of you. It was sooooo good, I had like 2 huge helpings! I love the food here, as you know. I'm gonna get so fat.

Troy, thanks for saying goodbye today. Pshh. Haha, just kidding. I'm glad we got to ride up with you.

Daniel, go play fantasy baseball or something :P

Okay, well I'm going to get to bed but I'm really excited for this week and I can't wait to see what God has in store for these kids and for us leaders too. Say some prayers for a safe and fun week. And for patience and rest for everyone as well. Miss everyone already! I'll try to post pictures tomorrow too!

P.S. We miss everyone from last year too! Erica and Jada you've both been brought up alot. I miss all my 8th grade graduates!
